JULY 1 UPDATE: A new state order has been issued that requires the wearing of masks outdoors when social distancing is not possible. We ask our guests to abide by this order.
*
We care about our guests and our employees. That is why we now require masks in interior spaces, and encourage them outdoors. Our policies are based on mandates from the state government and guidelines established by the CDC.
We are not making a political statement. The day-to-day operations at Peddler’s Village involve hundreds of people who have a wide range of political beliefs. Instead, our mask policy is a reflection our commitment to public safety and to the longstanding values of Peddler’s Village. This is a place where we have always cared about each other. This is also a place that has always been a haven for people from the stresses and pressures of the “outside world.” Since Peddler’s Village was created a half-century ago, we have tried to create the best possible experiences for our guests and our employees, which include allowing them to feel as safe and secure as possible.
You have the right to disagree with our policies, in which case we hope you will come back to visit us when the coronavirus is no longer a threat to public health. We all look forward to that time.
Right now, it is especially important for us to be kind and considerate. Thank you for your support.
