Peddler’s Village to Re-Open on June 5

Open-air countryside destination will offer expanded outdoor dining and weekend sidewalk sales with new safety measures in place

Peddler’s Village, a 42-acre shopping, dining, lodging, and family entertainment destination in the rural heart of historic Bucks County, PA, will re-open to the public on the first day of the “yellow phase”—expected to be on Friday, June 5—with expanded outdoor dining, weekend sidewalk sales, and new safety measures to protect the health of guests, merchants, and employees.

Outdoor Dining

During the “yellow phase,” Peddler’s Village will offer full-service outdoor dining featuring cuisine from Buttonwood Grill, Earl’s New American, Cock ‘n Bull, and Hart’s Tavern. Outdoor service at Buttonwood Grill and Earl’s New American will begin on June 5; outdoor service at the Cock ‘n Bull and Hart’s will begin in mid-June. Cock ‘n Bull and Hart’s Tavern diners will be served under a tent on the Main Green, while Buttonwood Grill diners will be served on the restaurant deck and Earl’s diners will be served in the nearby courtyard area. Tables will be placed at least six feet apart, and servers will adhere to strict new safety procedures.

Outdoor tables available for takeout or full-service dining!

Full-service outdoor dining will be available daily from noon to 8 pm at Buttonwood Grill and Earl’s New American. At the Cock ‘n Bull and Hart’s, full-service dining will be available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from noon to 8 pm. The four restaurants will also continue to offer daily takeout service from noon to 8 pm. Diners who purchase takeout meals are invited to enjoy their meals at one of the many outdoor tables or picnic-style on the grass.

Reservations for full-service outdoor dining are encouraged and can be made by calling the restaurants directly: Earl’s New American at 215-794-4020; Buttonwood Grill at 215-794-4040; Cock ‘n Bull at 215-794-4010; and Hart’s Tavern at 215-794-4066. A full list of dining options can be viewed here.

Village Sidewalk Sale

Through June 15, Village retailers will be presenting sidewalk sales on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays. Most shops will be open daily starting at 11 am (with capacity restrictions) and many will continue to offer online shopping and/or curbside delivery.

The Golden Plough Inn is also welcoming overnight guests.

Safety Measures

Hand sanitizer stations can be found throughout the Village.

“We are very excited to bring Peddler’s Village back to life,” said Chief Operating Officer Bob McGowan. “Of course, safety will continue to be our priority. We have spent the last two months sanitizing spaces and putting into place new materials, supplies, and procedures so guests will feel comfortable and protected. On our vast, open-air property, people can again enjoy fresh air, shopping, outdoor dining, and walking through the gardens. They can have a long-awaited, almost-normal experience while still social distancing and practicing caution.”

Hand sanitizer will be located at kiosks throughout the Village. Masks will be required in all interior spaces, including shops. While not required, masks are strongly encouraged outside as well. Safety measures in place and guidelines for guests are posted throughout the Village as well as online at https://peddlersvillage.com/faq/.

Peddler’s Village, which includes 60 locally owned shops and specialty boutiques, has been closed since March 16 in accordance with government directives because of the pandemic. Giggleberry Fair will remain closed.
