In the Spotlight: National Praise and Local Love
We’re always grateful for accolades and recognition by our visitors and regional media, but there’s something extra special about being featured in two of the most lauded publications in the United States: Vogue and Food & Wine. And that just happened! Additionally, New Hope Free Press just published an in-depth piece that reveals the personal connections visitors have to Peddler’s Village and why they keep coming back during the holidays—and what the hard-working facilities team at the Village must do annually to prepare for its most popular season.
The Village Shines in Vogue’s Best Christmas Towns List
We’re always grateful for accolades and recognition by our visitors and regional media, but there’s something extra special about being featured in two of the most lauded publications in the United States: Vogue and Food & Wine. And that just happened! Additionally, New Hope Free Press just published an in-depth piece that reveals the personal connections visitors have to Peddler’s Village and why they keep coming back during the holidays—and what the hard-working facilities team at the Village must do annually to prepare for its most popular season.
Vogue recently named Peddler’s Village one of the best Christmas towns in the USA in its travel feature, “The Best Christmas Towns in the USA for a Dose of Holiday Cheer.” The article spotlighted Bucks County as a cozy, festive destination, with Peddler’s Village standing out as one of the area’s most magical holiday experiences.
If you’ve been here during the holidays, we hope you’ve felt this magic. Tucked into the Bucks County countryside, Peddler’s Village completely transforms during the holidays. More than a million twinkling lights accentuate the historical Village, festive décor pops up around every corner, and the brick pathways lead you through 65 charming specialty shops that make holiday shopping feel relaxed and fun. It’s the kind of place where you want to slow down — popping into boutiques for thoughtful gifts, grabbing a warm drink, and just taking in the nostalgic, storybook feel of the season. From the antique 1920s carousel to the glowing storefronts and seasonal displays, every detail adds to the magic that keeps people coming back year after year.
A Sweet Spotlight in Food & Wine, Too
Adding to all the holiday excitement, Food & Wine also recently gave Peddler’s Village an excellent shoutout — this time for one of our most-loved seasonal traditions: the Gingerbread Competition & Display. Each year, the event showcases over 100 handcrafted gingerbread creations, from classic houses to imaginative designs made by families, kids, and local bakers/professionals.
Walking through the gingerbread displays feels like a holiday tradition all on its own — moving from piece to piece admiring the creativity and heart behind each design. It’s festive and charming in a way that appeals to all ages. To us, being recognized by Food & Wine as one of the must-see gingerbread displays in the country reinforces what we have believed since we launched the display in 1984: this is one of those holiday experiences that just feels genuinely special.
A Holiday Experience You Can’t Get Online
Beyond the lights and shopping, New Hope Free Press (writer and photographer Marion Callahan) recently highlighted another reason Peddler’s Village stands out during the holidays: It offers an experience you simply can’t get online. Visiting the Village isn’t just about checking gifts off your list — it’s about being fully immersed in the sights, sounds, and feeling of the season. From the moment you arrive and see the Village glow during the Grand Illumination to strolling the brick pathways, it’s an experience that we like to believe to many visitors feels intentional and memorable.
