What makes Peddler’s Village so special?

Earl and Sheila Jamison founded Peddler’s Village in 1962 on six acres of land known as Hentown at the crossroads of Routes 202, 263 and Street Road. The property was transformed from a chicken hatchery into 14 shops and a restaurant nestled amid winding brick pathways and gardens designed by Earl to reflect the architectural style of 18th-century America.

Over 60 years later, the 42-acre site boasts over 60 unique shops, eight restaurants, the 67-room Golden Plough Inn, and Giggleberry Fair, a family entertainment center featuring an antique operating carousel. Millions of guests stroll our beautifully landscaped grounds to dine and visit shops, many of which are locally-owned small businesses. Our myriad of annual festivals, displays, and seasonal events draw both new visitors and families who return year after year. The Village is also a trusted host of specials days, from weddings and baby showers to corporate meetings and holiday parties. Peddler’s Village is honored to be part of generations of tradition and we look forward to all the memories yet to be made.

“Shopping centers bring together a diverse selection of places to shop, eat, and play in a single convenient location. These vibrant hubs offer something for everyone, from popular national brands to unique local shops, making them a top destination for long-time residents and travelers alike.” –USA TODAY’s 10BEST
