Another perk for new visitors? You can easily spend hours exploring more than 60 specialty shops and boutiques. If you’re visiting with little ones, Giggleberry Fair is always a hit with its carousel, arcade, and nonstop kid-friendly fun.

A Million Lights You Truly Have to See
One of the biggest highlights for any first-time visitor? Our breathtaking light display. During the Grand Illumination Celebration on November 14, the Village officially came alive with more than one million lights — and the glow continues every evening through January 18, 2026. It’s completely magical in person. Every turn feels like a new backdrop for holiday photos, family moments, or just soaking in the sparkle.
Gingerbread Competition: A Holiday Tradition
The Gingerbread Competition & Display is a must-see. This beloved Village tradition has been going strong since 1984 and features over 100 handmade creations from community members of all ages. You’ll find everything from professional designs to sweet family projects and adorable entries from kids as young as eight. It’s festive, creative, and completely free to explore at the Visitor & Event Center now through January 17, 2026. Just keep in mind that the gingerbread display closes 30 minutes before the shops, so plan your visit accordingly.

Scoogie Holiday Hustle – December 4, 7–10 PM
The perfect first-timer experience! Throw on a Santa hat, your favorite holiday sweater, or even a full costume, and join hundreds of runners and walkers for our 5th Annual Holiday Hustle. It’s such a fun, family-friendly night — and yes, you get to dash through the Village under a million sparkling lights.
Holly Jolly Weekend – December 6 (11 AM) to December 7 (6 PM)
If you’re planning your first visit, this is one of the best weekends to come. Enjoy festive live music, holiday treats, family activities, and plenty of strolling. The Santa Parades happen at 1:30 PM on both Saturday and Sunday — the perfect moment for photos and making memories. With music, lights, and the joyful holiday vibe, it really captures everything people love about this season at the Village.
Enchanted Evenings — Weeknights through January 3
If you’re hoping to visit during the week, our Enchanted Evenings are the perfect time to experience the Village after dark. Enjoy twinkling lights, peaceful pathways, and festive entertainment without the weekend crowds. It’s an ideal chance to take photos, explore the boutiques, and soak in the cozy winter magic at a slower pace.
Village Green Festive Food & Jolly Drinks – Weekends During the Holiday Season
Warm up as you wander with delicious seasonal favorites in the Village Green. From hot soups and comforting ciders to hot cocoa and classic hot dogs, there’s something tasty waiting for you as you stroll the illuminated paths and take in all the holiday cheer.
Fire & Frost – January 9 & 10 and January 16 & 17, 4–8 PM
This event is absolutely magical for first-timers. The Village transforms with dozens of ice sculptures, fire artistry shows, a live DJ, and an exciting Jack Frost scavenger hunt. It’s also one of the most Instagrammable winter events in the Philadelphia region — everywhere you turn is a photo moment waiting to happen.
