CATEGORIES TO ENTER
1. Authentic Reproduction of a Significant Building
How much icing would it take to build the White House, Eiffel Tower, or the Tower of Pisa? This
is the ultimate test of realism in the art of building
with gingerbread! Any well-known building will do.
Your display must include a picture of the real thing.
Prizes:
1st: $300
2nd: $200
3rd: $100
Honorable Mention (3): $50 each
2. The Amateur Gingerbread Creation
In order to qualify for the "Amateur Category" entrants may not have placed first, second or third in any previous Peddler's Village Gingerbread Competitions.... As far as your design? Anything goes!! Have fun and get creative.

3. Incredibly Unusual 3-Dimensional
Gingerbread Creation
Make a gingerbread creation that is out of the ordinary. Gingerbread structures need not be a traditional design. Be creative. Let your imagination run Yuletide wild! No buildings or houses are allowed in this category.

4. Traditional Gingerbread
Holidays are the time when almost everyone turns to classic traditions for decorating ideas and inspiration. Any structure is allowed in this category. Victorian, colonial, modern, barn, house, cottage - you decide.

5. Student Gingerbread Creation -
For Ages 13 - 18 Only!
Combine your favorite candy and delicious edibles to create a unique gingerbread creation.
Prizes:

6. Kids Only! Gingerbread Creation This category is designed to give kids the opportunity to compete with their peers. You must be 12 and under to enter! Stand back Mom and Dad and let the kids get creative!!

1st: Pizza Party for 10 at Giggleberry Fair
2nd: 6 One-day combo passes to Giggleberry Fair
3rd: 4 One-day combo passes to Giggleberry Fair

OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS 1. Fill out an entry form and return to Peddler's Village before November 7, 2008. A single creation may not be entered in more than one category. (Example: A Traditional house may not be entered
in both the Traditional and Amateur categories.)
2. Entries will be displayed in the Peddler's Village Gazebo from November 21, 2008 through January 3, 2009. Peddler's Village reserves the right not to exhibit all entries due to space limitations. If your entry is not displayed, it must be picked up within
48 hours of the time notice is given.
3. Attach a 3" x 5" card listing your name, address and category you have entered on the underside of your display base. Also attach a list to the entry form of any edible items used that may be unusual or questionable.
4. Creations must be constructed mainly of gingerbread. Non-visible interior supports made of non-edible materials are allowed.
5. The entire visual display must be made of edible materials with the exception of the surface it is mounted upon.
6. The gingerbread display must be mounted on a sturdy rigid piece of plywood no larger than 24" x 24". The display board should be proportionally appropriate to the gingerbread creation.
7. Children's category entries should have a display board proportionally appropriate to the size of the gingerbread creation. Base should not exceed 20" x 20".
8. All entries must remain in Peddler's Village for display from November 21, 2008 through January 3, 2009.
9. Peddler's Village reserves the right to remove any entry, which begins to look in disrepair.
10. All entries must be brought to the Peddler's Village Gazebo on Sunday, November 9, 2008, between the hours of 12 noon and 2 pm.
11. Entries will be judged the week of November 10, 2008. Winners will be notified by mail and posted on the Peddler's Village website no later than the week of November 24, 2008. The winner's list will not be available by phone.
12. Entries will be judged on: 1. Overall Apprearance, 2. Originality / Imagination / Use of Materials, 3. Fit in Category, 4. Difficulty of Design.
13. All entries must be picked up Sunday, January 4, 2009, between noon and 2 pm. Peddler's Village reserved the right to dispose of entries remaining after that date.
14. Peddler's Village reserves the right to photograph entries for any promotional purposes. Photographs become the property of
