MEETING PLANNERS PRESS NARRATIVE
Peddler's Village in Lahaska, Bucks County, PA, has earned the reputation among both small to mid-sized businesses and Fortune 500 companies as the ideal place for business meetings, training sessions and corporate retreats. With a wide range of settings and services to suit a variety of needs, Peddler's Village promises first-rate meeting facilities in a beautiful and relaxing country environment.
Peddler's Village has built a solid reputation over more than four decades as an inviting leisure destination, with its charming 18th-century-style structures housing 70 unique specialty shops, six restaurants, the 70-room luxury Golden Plough Inn, and Giggleberry Fair, a family entertainment center with an antique operating carousel. The restaurants include the classic Cock 'n Bull restaurant and the newest addition, Earl's Prime.
Just one hour north of Philadelphia in scenic Bucks County, Peddler's Village is easily accessible to operations with New Jersey and Pennsylvania offices. The recent expansion of lodging facilities, additional dining establishments, and lifestyle amenities have added to the Village's versatility for all types of business functions and activities from meetings, training sessions and seminars to corporate retreats, team building sessions and holiday parties. Especially convenient for corporate gatherings is the abundant and free parking, adjacent to all Village attractions.
Peddler's Village offers a variety of unique meeting rooms from small, private boardroom space to a larger room that can accommodate 120 people classroom-style to 200 people theater-style. For banquets, up to 250 people may be seated. Conference rooms are located on the second floor of the Cock 'n Bull Restaurant, in the Golden Plough Inn, and on the second level of Earl's Prime, the Village's new steak and seafood restaurant. Spaces exist throughout that may be used for breakout sessions, private lunch and dinner areas, and hospitality functions. Menu options vary and are customized to suit client needs. Lodging, entertainment, leisure activities and spouse programs can also be arranged.
Support services for meetings include wireless high-speed Internet connectivity throughout the Village, audio-visual equipment, designated phone lines, modem capabilities, photocopying and fax services.
While Bucks County is renowned for its abundance of bed-and-breakfast homes and country inns, the Golden Plough Inn of Peddler's Village is the only one that can offer as many as 70 rooms, including suites, for multiple-day meetings. Far from the impersonal, cookie-cutter style hotel atmosphere, staying at the inn is an experience of comfortable country hospitality and luxurious personal service. And the inn offers an attractive and cost-effective alternative to the urban hotel or higher-priced resort. Room rates range from $145 to $425 per night, with special corporate rates available for individuals and groups Sunday through Thursday.
All rooms are individually appointed, many with whirlpools and/or fireplaces. Every guest room and suite in the inn has a private bath, desk and sitting area, remote-controlled cable TV, dual-line speakerphones with data port and simultaneous voice-modem capabilities, refrigerator, and individually controlled heat and air-conditioning. Each room is also stocked with complimentary coffee/tea service, a basket of snacks, ironing board and iron and other personal amenities. Guests may use the services of the fitness center, choose to visit the new full-service day spa in the Village, Skin `n Tonic Spa & Salon, or indulge in Skin `n Tonic's special in-room spa services.
The Village's country atmosphere is a pleasant alternative to the urban hustle and bustle; corporate clients spending time here find it refreshing and relaxing. The quiet setting creates the perfect location for a corporate retreat. There's space to walk and jog - not on concrete, but on the winding brick walkways of the village. Exercise facilities and a full-service day spa are on-site and golf, tennis, horseback riding, wineries, and New Hope are nearby. The Cock 'n Bull, Hart's Tavern and the newest dining addition to the Peddler's Village restaurants, Earl's Prime, offer guests a variety of places on-site for friendly libations, music and food, from full-course meals to light snacks.
Earl's Prime opened in July 2005, featuring outstanding steak and seafood in a sleek and sophisticated environment. A granite-topped bar with a brushed aluminum front contributes to a cosmopolitan and urban environment. An extensive wine list is sure to delight varied tastes with more than 100 hand-selected offerings. Earl's Prime offers a full-service, 150-seat restaurant, full bar, private meeting facilities, and banquet space in a cutting-edge, upscale environment.
Meeting planners find it highly rewarding to work with the Peddler's Village professional staff, offering personalized service and superior attention to detail with years of catering and meeting planning experience. The service staff has earned a solid reputation for friendly, efficient and flexible service and is often cited as a key factor in repeat business and word-of-mouth referrals.
