Peddler's Village, an 18th-century style countryside attraction, is one of Bucks County's most popular destinations, featuring 70 quality specialty shops, 6 restaurants, a 70-room luxury inn, a family entertainment center, landscaped gardens and winding brick walkways, plus year round festivals and craft competitions. EATERIES: Three Peddler's Village restaurants offer childrenís menus: the Cock 'n Bull, and Hart's Tavern. The Painted Pony CafÈ at Giggleberry Fair offers a fun and delicious menu for the entire family. Auntie Em's serves ice cream and cookies.

GOLDEN PLOUGH INN: Children are welcome at this luxury inn. Some rooms include conveniently hidden Murphy beds. FESTIVALS & COMPETITIONS: Peddler's Village hosts festivals year-round for family fun, as follows:

• Apple Festival - Traditional Fall celebration with craftspeople, live entertainment, pie-eating contests and everything apple!
• Fine Art and Contemporary Cr afts Show - While adults shop for pieces of fine art from over 40 of the region's artists, children can participate in hands-on projects. Also balloons, face-painting, and live musical entertainment.
• Celebration of Freedom - Live entertainment, picnic-style favorites, fireworks at sunset!
• Scarecrow Festival and Display - scarecrow-making workshops; pumpkin painting; colorful exhibit of creative scarecrows in competition.
• Grand Illumination - Begin the holiday season with a ìde-light-fulî enchantment. Santa "switches on" the Villageís outdoor holiday light display of over one million festive lights at 6:15 p.m. to kick off the holiday season and his weekend visits with children at Giggleberry Fair. Join us for free cider and toasted marshmallow.
• Christmas Festival - Santa Claus arrives in an old-fashioned parade; marshmallow toasting over an open fire; hot mulled cider; live entertainment.
• Strawberry Festival - Craftspeople, live entertainment, pie-eating contests and everything strawberry!
• Quilt and Gingerbread Competitions - Both creative competitions offer categories for children only.
• Evening in the Colonial Kitchen - Mondays, January through March, in the Cock 'n Bull. Observe historians prepare foods over an open hearth as was done in days gone by. Then enjoy a four-course meal of colonial-style items and keep the menu as a souvenir. Live period music, plus historical characters on select nights. $16.95 adults; 8.95 children 10 and under (subject to change). Reservations suggested.
