PEDDLER’S VILLAGE 15TH ANNUAL FRUIT WREATH SEMINAR

(LAHASKA, PA) October 27, 2006

Learn how to design and create a traditional Fruit Wreath for the holidays at the Peddler's Village 15th Annual Fruit Wreath Seminar on Wednesday, November 29, from 10 a.m. to noon at Foxbriar Farm.

Ann McAloan, floral designer and owner of McAloan Flower Farm in Jamison , will demonstrate different designs using fruit in the traditional Williamsburg style known as “Della Robia.” The use of fruit in holiday wreaths was popular in colonial Williamsburg, inspired by Luca della Robia, a Renaissance sculptor who carved garlands of fruit and nuts in his work. Made of natural materials, these decorations bring us back to a time when the holidays revolved around the sharing of one’s blessings with friends and family. Don’t miss the opportunity to learn how to create this traditional holiday wreath.

The seminar fee is $20 and includes light refreshments. The registration deadline is November 27, 2006. Please visit www.peddlersvillage.com for registration form or call 215-794-4059 for more information.
