CELEBRATE SPRING AT THE Peddler's Village 38TH ANNUAL STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL

(LAHASKA, PA) March 13, 2007…Celebrate Spring at the 38th Annual Peddler’s Village Strawberry Festival, Saturday, May 5 and Sunday, May 6, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., rain or shine. Free admission and parking.

Festive foods, children’s activities, pie-eating contests and a lively family entertainment are some of the weekend’s exciting attractions.  Strawberries served fresh and unadorned, dipped in chocolate, deep-fried in fritters, in shortcake, assorted pastries, and fruit smoothies will be the culinary highlight. The region’s finest artisans will exhibit and sell unique handcrafted works on the Street Road Green.

The weekend's line-up of entertainment includes:
Nassau Brass will offer their dynamic horn ensemble performing an awesome collection of popular and dance music, Sat., 1-3 pm, Main Green.
Christie Jefferson plays a diverse mix of original folk, rock, pop, cabaret, swing, blues and funk, Sat., 1-3 pm, Artisan area on the Street Road Green.
Peter Pix is a one-man band that will captivate you with songs of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, Sat., 1-3 pm, Village Flower Shoppe.
Mike Brill captivates whether he is playing traditional and rebel Irish songs or pop music, both days 1-3 pm, Courtyard.
• Everyone’s favorite tall pal, Stiltwalker, strolls the Village both days 1-3 pm.
• An annual favorite, The Strawberry Pie-Eating Contest, 3 p.m. both days on the Main Green, will provide a bellyful of laughs and cash prizes for winners.  Participants compete in the age categories of 10 and under, 11-14, and 15 and up.  To compete, entrants must sign up in advance at the Hospitality Booth on the Main Green by 2:45 p.m. each day.  Six participants in each age category will be chosen at random preceding the contest.
Diablo Sandwich will entertain with their variety of music from the 80’s and 90’s, classic rock ‘n roll, swing, dance music and classic soul and blues, Sun., 11 am-3 pm, Main Green..
Give and Take Jugglers will amaze and entertain with their skills, Sun., 4-6 pm, Main Green
Children’s activities from face painting to sand art. A caricaturist will be on the Main Green
